The GOLDEN Iridescent and Interference Colours achieve their reflective properties by synthetically reproducing several natural phenomena-the nacreous, or pearlescent, qualities found in fish scales or the dust of a butterfly's wing, and the shiny and reflective qualities found in certain metals and minerals.

GOLDEN Iridescent Acrylic Colors used alone or with other colors, gels and mediums, develop nonfading, nontarnishing metallic finishes. Iridescent Pearl is extremely useful for mixing with other colors for pearl-like qualities.

All GOLDEN Mica Flake products offer larger particles for more textural metallic surfaces. Practically more of a medium than a paint, small mica flakes are suspended in acrylic medium with the consistency of regular gel gloss.

"Coarse" Iridescent and Interference Colors are simply larger particle size versions of our "Fine" Iridescent and Interference products. Coarse colors in the Iridescent line include Copper, Copper Light, Gold and Pearl. All of GOLDEN's Iridescent Colors produce a luster quality by themselves, or when mixed with other colors and mediums.
