A unique feature of squirrel is its ability to hold huge amounts of colour so that laying down washes of Watercolour over large areas is a breeze whilst the point that it naturally comes to allows for good control into areas of fine detail. Fat to thin sweeping marks can be made by dragging the brush whilst lifting off the pressure applied. The Pro Arte Renaissance Squirrel Mops are made from the finest hair, tightly packed and quill bound in the traditional way, to give a superb belly to the brush and a long, useful life resulting in a brush that is a joy to use without breaking the bank. The Series 50 Kazan Squirrel Brush is bound with a seamless metal ferrule and shaped into a flat filbert shape.

The Curtisward Panache brush is made from soft tinted synthetic filaments and have good spring, pointing and hold a good amount of colour. The brush hairs are set into seamless nickel ferrules. The solid wood handles have a natural wood lacquered finish which provides protection along with a smooth finish for ease of use. Curtisward Artists Value Panache brushes are perfect for watercolour painting but are also suitable for gouache, inks and thinned artists acrylic paint.
