Sennelier Oil Pastels began to be developed in 1949 by Sennelier for Pablo Picasso who was looking for an oil pastel that had intense colour and could be applied to a wide variety of surfaces. The resulting Pastel has intensity and vibrancy of colour, is 100% lightfast and, due to the combination of non-aggresive oils and waxes, can be used on almost any surface, including paper, without cracking or effecting the substrate. Each pastel is approximately 65mm long and 10mm in diameter.
